Resource Centre

The Resource Centre is a self-access reference information centre with information relating to the Hong Kong film industry.

Facilities and Services

• Two audio-visual booths for viewing materials in video tapes and discs;

• Two computer terminal booths for online retrieval of information kept at the Resource Centre;

• A location library with files, photographs and slides of sites for location shooting. Information includes location, maps, application procedures and guidelines, rental charges;

• A database containing information on regulations on location shooting, including the permit requirements for the use of police uniform, modified firearms, blank ammunition, pyrotechnics and other dangerous goods

• The information on film and video production services companies;

• Information (including magazines and monographs) and statistics about local film production, development of the Hong Kong film industry, film classification;

• Information and production guides issued by overseas film commissions;

• Information on training programmes relating to film production offered by local tertiary educational/research institutions; and

• Information on local and international film festivals, markets and conferences.
