Established in 1989. The academy aims to promote film art and culture through academic research and professional training. It provides 1-year professional diploma programme in Hong Kong. Since 2005, the academy has affiliated with Bigfoot Entertainment of Hollywood, and established new campuses in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Xiamen to offer accredited degree programmes. In addition, the academy provides joint diploma programmes with a number of distinguished universities in the USA and Europe.
