The building of the Eastern Street Methadone Clinic was first opened in 1891 as a lunatic asylum for Chinese patients. It is a two-storey red brick and granite structure. It has a simple pitched roof and is Renaissance Classical Revival in style with scant ornamentation. It is now a Grade II historic building. The outside of the building is available for filming.
