Characteristics:
Tin Hau Temple (Hau Kok) stands by the Tuen Mun River Channel. Tuen Mun was an important waterway in the ancient time and was where fishermen gathered. The temple was financed by the fishermen and the Tao family who came to live in Tuen Mun during the Ming Dynasty. It used to be frequented by worshippers during the festivals for Tin Hau.

There is no distinguishing design for the temple. Its building was simply to meet the needs of the fishermen. The main hall is accompanied by 2 small wings. On the right of the temple is a huge burner for offerings. In front of the temple is the Tuen Mun Tin Hau Temple Plaza which is under the management of Home Affairs Department.
