The Hong Kong Police Force has recently completed the review of the trial scheme for 'Hire of Police for Intermittent Traffic Control for Location Filming' implemented in 2006. With immediate effect, the trial scheme is put into full scale implementation. Filmmakers intend to hire police officers for controlling vehicular traffic flows at intervals for location filming should submit the completed application form to the Film Services Office at least 14 working days in advance of the filming. The minimum hiring period is two hours and subsequent hiring periods will be calculated on a half-hourly basis. The charges include the staff cost and full cost of transport used to convey the officers from and to their station and the filming location.
